- Ontario has a vibrant and thriving bagpipe scene. More and more people are learning the instrument and you don’t need to be Scottish.
- Students will start on a practice chanter which is a quieter version of the part of the bagpipe that produces the melodies.
- Students learn basic technique and some simple tunes on the practice chanter before graduating to the full bagpipe. (Generally, 6 months to a year after starting lessons)
- Once competent on the instrument there are opportunities to play with other bagpipers in the Guelph Pipe Band.
- We can offer instruction for players of all levels.
- Our instructors compete at the professional and top amateur levels in Ontario.
