Annual Fundraiser for the Guelph Food Bank

We are thrilled to share the results of our annual Holiday Showcase and Guelph Foodbank Fundraiser! In 2024, with the incredible support and generous donations of JamSchool supporters, we raised an amazing $8,260.00 and collected 134 lbs of food to support families in need.

JamSchool principal, Robert Leader, had the privilege of delivering the cheque and meeting Marilyn Worobec, the Founder and Executive Director of the Guelph Foodbank. Her dedication to our community is truly inspiring!

This milestone brings our 11-year total to:

💰 $41,895.00

🍎 Over 2,600 kg of food

Together, we’ve helped provide well over 100,000 meals for those in need in the Guelph area. 💙

Thank you for making this our best year yet. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference. Here’s to continuing this tradition of giving back!

Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington

At JamSchool, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to play. That’s why we support the Kids Can Grow program from the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

Here’s how the program makes a difference in our community:

  • Provides financial support for the activity of the child’s choice.
  • Encourages children to try new experiences and become active.
  • Allows children to continue in the activities they love even when times are tough for their family.
  • Helps kids to learn valuable life and social skills, develop friendships and engage in their community.
  • Partners with local organizations and companies who want to help the children within the community.

In 2018:

  • 1,384 children were funded to participate in 2,215 activities;
  • 279 music, drama, art activities were funded;
  • 508 camp outings were enjoyed;
  • The most popular activities are camps, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, and dance;
  • The average household income of applicants was $18,125.
