What skills will you learn?
Intro to Home Recording Level One
Topics covered:
- Connecting an audio interface to your computer
- Installing and operating a multitrack recording program
- Using microphones to record vocals, acoustic instruments, and amplifiers
- Microphone choice and placement
- Recording electric guitars and keyboards directly into the interface
- Using a MIDI instrument (keyboard, electronic drums) to record virtual sounds
- Mixing with equalization, dynamics control, and effects (reverb, delay)
This course will be taught on the Cubase(™) although the skills learned will be largely transferrable to other platforms.
