Melissa Maltais is a singer-songwriter, performer, and vocal coach known for her raw, storytelling-driven sound that blends indie folk, alt-country, and blues. She performs and releases music under the artist name “Mela Bee,” creating songs that feel honest and human. With over a decade of live performance and vocal training behind her, Melissa focuses on more than just technique. Her teaching style is all about authentic expression, building confidence, and helping students feel connected to their sound. She often incorporates songwriting and accompaniment skills into lessons for students interested in creating their own music.
Having studied voice at the Canadian Academy of Vocal Music and Mayfield Secondary School of the Arts, Melissa now performs throughout Ontario and beyond, sharing songs that come straight from the heart.
