Mika McCairley-Greenwell is a recent graduate in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her love for teaching, performing, and music therapy is unwavering- rooted firmly in the belief that everybody is musical. Success for Mika is pulling it out of every student of any age or level.
She is a champion Ottawa Valley stepdancer, fiddler and accomplished piano player. She has earned titles such as both Ontario Open fiddle and step dance champion and was a member of Canadian Open step dance group “UnReel”. She is also an integral member of the Guelph Celtic Orchestra.
Mika has been invited to perform with musicians such as Natalie MacMaster, Shane Cook, Leahy and has been featured playing with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, and International Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, she travelled with the renowned group The StepCrew to California- where her tapping abilities were featured on international PBS television.
